Emergency peripartum hysterectomy remains a life saving procedure in obstetrics especially when there is intractable post partum haemorrhage. While it has been said that such procedure is not new, its indications are alarmingly emerging. These emerging indications have not been widely studied in Nigeria. A research by individual obstetrician-Gynaecologist or as a group in any developing countries is worth conducting. Global readers are invited!
