Exclusive breastfeeding is essential to the growth and development of infants especially for the first six months of their life. Nursing mothers are therefore encouraged to adhere to this practice to promote the health of infants and their own health. Exclusive breastfeeding can also be economical since the mother and significant individuals in the family will not spend much money on artificial infant feeds.
