Transition metals doped W-type hexaferrite nanoparticles that have potential for applications in electronic, magnetic and microwave devices, have been synthesized by chemical co-precipitation method. In this study, the structural properties correlation with the electrical, magnetic and microwave characteristics is based on preference of the doped ions for occupation of various sub-lattices. Doping of W-type hexaferrite with the transition metals results in considerable enhancement of the room temperature resistivity, magnetic and microwave absorption properties. The work is indispensable in understanding the ions dependent behavior of W-type hexaferrite nanoparticles and provides a guide lines for obtaining optimized materials for desired applications in electrical and magnetic devices.
