Leprosy has existed in Nepal since time immemorial and was recognized as a public health problem as early as 1950. Khokana Leprosarium near Kathmandu was established in 1857 AD and Malunga leprosarium, Syanja was established in 1939 AD to provide services to the leprosy patients. My work attempts to measure the magnitude of patient delay in seeking leprosy treatment and to describe the factors associated with longer delay.
