Athlete with a meniscal tear who underwent partial meniscectomy, have a definite abnormalities in limb motion and muscle activation profile. As It leads to instability due to loss of an important static restraint, with secondry loss of proprioception. This was the hypothesis addressed in this work, where thirty athletic patients with excised meniscus followed a customized proprioceptive rehabilitation program according to their degree of clinical and quantitative proprioception evaluation. There was a highly significant deficit of knee proprioception after meniscectomy. furthermore, there was significant improvement of proprioception and balance associated with a detectable changes in knee functionality after early and aggressive neuromuscular, proprioceptive and balance exercises enhancement were performed. Thus Proprioception is imperative for the functional stability of the knee and plays a principal role for early and smooth return to sport.
